ISIS Advise Against Terrorists Travelling To Europe

Posted in Coronavirus, Covid-19, ISIS, terrorism with tags , , , , on 03/31/2020 by securityscene

Terror group ISIS have advised it’s fighters to “stay away from the land of the epidemic” in it’s newsletter Al-Naba.

They expanded further telling it’s followers to “The healthy should not enter the land of the epidemic and the afflicted should not exit from it,”.

It included practical advice on avoiding contracting Coronavirus “cover the mouth when yawning and sneezing” and “wash the hands before dipping them into vessels.”

While the terrorist group has now lost it’s caliphate as the war on terror progresses, apparently causing mayhem, paranoia and infighting it would seem that the Covid-19 virus is up there on their expanding list of problems and fears. An unexpected benefit of a nasty epidemic.

Leader Of Islam4UK, Anjem Choudary Drinking Beer, Smoking Dope And Reading Porn

Fundamentalist Muslim and leader of the soon to be banned Islam4UK hasn’t always been as hate filled as he is now. Currently he spouts threats to British way of life, calls out soldier’s murders and leeches from the British Government in order to run his groups.

We’ve found a few photos that show how this man used to be, before he decided that taking arms against innocent people who don’t believe in his religion was a good idea.

They pretty much speak for themselves and show what a hypocrite this man really is.

Membership Of Islam4UK & al-Muhajiroun To Become Illegal

By Thursday 14th January 2010 it will be illegal to be a member of the group Islam4UK or its parent organisation, al-Muhajiroun.

Alan Johnson, the British Home Secretary, said that under new legislation it would be a criminal offence to glorify terrorism and be punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

“I have today laid an order which will proscribe al-Muhajiroun, Islam4UK, and a number of the other names the organisation goes by,” Johnson said. “It is already proscribed under two other names – al-Ghurabaa and the Saved Sect or the Saviour Sect.

Johnson said that proscription was “a tough but necessary power to tackle terrorism”, adding that it was “not a course we take lightly”.

The group, Islam4UK, has said that if their organisation is banned “another platform with a new name will arise to continue to fulfil these divine objections until the Sharia has been implemented”.

Islam4UK Cancel Plans For Wootton Bassett March

Posted in Crime, news, Politics, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , on 01/10/2010 by securityscene

Anjem ChoudaryRadical Muslim and leader of the group Islam4UK, Anjem Choudary, has confirmed that the plans for the controversial march through Wootton Bassett has been called off.

The group announced their intentions to march over a week ago and it has caused controversy and up-roar ever since.

Wootton Bassett is the village that our brave men and women of the armed services are processed through before being laid to rest, hundreds of people pay their respects at the side of the road as those killed in action in Afghanistan are returned home.

Islam4UK, which is a soapbox for banned radical group Al-Muhajiroun, had planned to process empty coffins through the streets to represent those Muslims killed during the conflict, claiming that British soldiers were murderers and even likened them to Nazi soldiers.

The group headed by ex-lawyer, Choudary, has sent an open letter to the families of those that have been killed in Afghanistan stating that he and the group had no sympathy for them or their killed relatives.

During initial interviews Anjem Choudary had admitted that the choice of Wootton Bassett was made to inflame public outcry, cause maximum media attention and be a big statement for his relatively unknown group.

He has now said that after consultation with other members in the group and the Islamic militant leader Omar Bakri-Mohammed they have decided that the march is no longer necessary, he said the aim of highlighting the plight of Muslims in Afghanistan has been done “successfully”.

In a statement released by the Islam4UK group they said;

“We at islam4uk have decided, after consultation with others, including our Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, that no more could be achieved even if a procession were to take place in Wootton Bassett.

“And in light of this we would like to announce today that there will no longer be a procession through this market town.”

“This does not mean that we will remain silent on the atrocities being committed in Afghanistan under the guise of fighting for freedom and democracy.

“And it also does not mean that we will not continue to highlight the true cost of this war against Islam and Muslims called fighting terrorism.”

Since the group has been thrust into the media spot light, information has come to light about them and their leader Anjem Choudary.

  • The hate filled Muslim cleric is currently claiming £25740 in state handouts.
  • Choudary and his group wants to bring in Sharia law to the UK, abolishing the current man made law of the land.
  • When the group and Islam take over the UK they will turn Buckingham Palace into a Mosque.
  • Islam4UK is a mouthpiece for a group that was banned in the UK under the British Terrorism Act 2006, Al-Muhajiroun.
  • Former Lawyer, Mr Choudary has been running secret Sharia courts in the UK, he has said in the courts he has married many Muslims and advised them not to register the marriage with the UK.
  • He has said that he runs a network of Islamic courts in London, Luton, Birmingham, Derby and Leicester.
  • Choudary also runs the London School of Sharia, also in secret.

This man and his group are a menace to the UK, hopefully his attempt to grab publicity in this way will back fire, sending him the way of other hate filled clerics and causing him to be shut down for good.

Developments on this story are still unfolding and we will bring them to you as they do.

UK & US Embassies In Yemen Closed Over Terrorist Threat

Posted in Crime, news, Politics, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 01/03/2010 by securityscene

Anti-Terrorism Unit In YemenThe US embassy has been closed over ongoing threats from al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

The embassy in Sana, Yemen has issued a statement “The US embassy in Sana’a is closed… in response to ongoing threats by al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to attack American interests in Yemen,”.  Yemeni staff at the embassy have been told to stay at home.

United States and British officials have said that they are going to be working closely with the Yemeni Government to help expand military and intelligence co-operation between the countries, in the hope to increase pressure on al Qaeda in the region.

The British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has also announced that he has called for a summit of World leaders in London to discuss the problems in the Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, suffering from Civil War and Muslim radicals.

Downing Street has also committed, alongside the US, to funding a counter-terrorism police unit in Yemen to help a government and police force that is currently overstretched and unable to successfully combat terrorism.

Terrorist problems within Yemen have been known to security services for some time. The Christmas Day attempted bombing of a US flight from Amsterdam, arranged by al-Qaeda bosses in the Yemen area and carried out by Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, 23, highlights the need for further commitment and action from the UK and the United States.

Shortly after the United States confrimed that it had closed it’s embassy in Yemen over terrorist threats, the United Kingdom’s Foreign Office has also said that it’s embassy in the capital Sanaa has also been closed “for security reasons”.

Last week a group in the region, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, urging Muslims to help in “killing every crusader who works at their embassies or other places”.

It has not been made clear when either of the countries embassies in the lawless country of Yemen will re-open.

Obama Publicly Links Airline Bomber With al-Qaeda

Posted in Crime, news, Politics, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on 01/02/2010 by securityscene

United States President Barack Obama has today for the first time publically linked the 23 year old Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, with the International terrorist network al-Qaeda.

During his weekly radio and internet address to the people, he said that, the would-be suicide bomber was trained and equipped for his failed mission by an al-Qaeda affiliate while in Yemen.

“The investigation into the Christmas Day incident continues, and we’re learning more about the suspect.

“We know that he travelled to Yemen, a country grappling with crushing poverty and deadly insurgencies.

“It appears that he joined an affiliate of al-Qaeda, and that this group, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, trained him, equipped him with those explosives and directed him to attack that plane headed for America.” The President said.

He also said that there had been “human and systemic failures”, these failures had allowed the Nigerian to board the flight from Amsterdam to Detroit despite being on a terror watchlist.

Obama has also called a meeting with American Intelligence Chiefs for next week, this to discuss options and strategies to stop further attacks and airline bombings.

The terror suspect was able to pass through security checks at Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport whilst having explosives attached to his thigh and underpants.

Passengers and crew were able to subdue Abdulmutallab as he tried to detonate the mixture of powder and liquid while the plane was landing.

While the mixture failed to detonate he was left with third degree burns as it and the immediate area of the plane caught fire.

Artist Attacked Over Mohammed Cartoon

Posted in Crime, news, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , on 01/02/2010 by securityscene

Kurt WestergaardA Somalian man has been shot and arrested in Denmark after he attempted to break into the house of 74 year old Kurt Westergaard.

The man was seeking revenge for the creation of a cartoon made by the householder back in 2005. The cartoonist created an image of the Prophet Mohammed carrying a bomb under his turban, linking Mohammed to violence and terrorism. All depictions of the prophet are generally forbidden under Islamic law.

The original cartoon was published by a Danish newspaper back in 2005 and this sparked violence and threats of violence and death against the newspaper and Mr Westergaard.

The 27 year old suspect arrived at the house carrying an axe and a knife. The cartoonist was able to alert police to the attack and seek safety in the safe room of his house.

Police arrived at the house within minutes of the alarm being raised, the un-named suspect then wielded an axe at a police officer. He was then shot by an officer in the knee and was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment.

The artist said that the man had been shouting “blood” and “revenge” during the incident.

Intelligence officials from Denmark have said that the suspect is connected to the terrorist group al-Shabaab and ally of al-Qaeda in East Africa.

Many people have made attempts on Kurt Westergaard’s life, three arrests were made back in February 2008, at that time he issued a statement, saying “Of course I fear for my life after the Danish Security and Intelligence Service informed me of the concrete plans of certain people to kill me. However, I have turned fear into anger and indignation. It has made me angry that a perfectly normal everyday activity which I used to do by the thousand was abused to set off such madness.

The as of yet un-named attacker will appear in a Danish court charged with the attempted murder of Kurt Westergaard.

Umar Farouk Adbul Mutallab – Airline Bombing Attempt

Posted in Crime, news, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on 01/02/2010 by securityscene

Umar MutallabOn Christmas day 2009, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab attempted to blow up a transatlantic flight from Amsterdam to Detroit in the United States of America.

The 23 year old had earlier taken a flight from Nigeria to Amsterdam where he then boarded Northwest Airlines Flight 253 to Detroit, Michigan.

Umar Mutallab was seen to spend about 20 minutes in the aircrafts bathroom as the plane approached Detroit, he told passengers and crew that he was having stomach problems and he covered himself with a blanket.

As the plane was beginning its decent those nearby heard popping noises and smelled a foul odour, others noticed that Mutallab’s trouser leg and the wall of the aircraft were on fire, he confirmed to concerned crew members that he had an “explosive device” in his pocket.

Brave crew and passengers tackled the man and managed to subdue him while fire extinguishers were used to douse the flames. The aircraft made a safe landing at its destination airport.

Mutallab was promptly arrested and removed by US Authorities; he was taken to hospital where he was treated for severe burns. Reports have stated that while under custody, Umar Mutallab told authorities that he had been instructed by al Qaeda, he obtained the device in Yemen, along with instructions from al Qaeda on how to use it. This claim has since been backed up by an al Qaeda affiliate in Yemen claiming responsibility for the attack.

Umar had managed to smuggle in the explosive device by stitching it into the inside of his underpants, a syringe was also brought onto the aircraft and was used to add another ingredient to the explosive mixture.

The mixture created a lethal amount of the explosive PETN (Pentaerythritol Explosive), an effective but fairly unstable explosive that can be made with some simple ingredients and little knowledge.

Shortly after the incident it was shown that the terrorist suspect had recently been a student at University College London, having completed a degree in Engineering. This connection with the United Kingdom started an investigation by British Counter Terrorism agencies including the raiding of an apartment where the accused was said to have lived as a student. Information is now appearing to show that he was radicalised during his time in the UK.

The US Government has also confirmed that the name Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab had been brought to their attention. The young man’s own father, a millionaire Nigerian banker described by The Times as “one of the richest men in Africa”, had gone to the US Embassy in Nigeria to advice them of his sons growing radical opinions, he name was put onto a watch list, but not added to the no fly list that would have stopped him boarding the plane to the US.

The aftermath of the attack caused airports Worldwide to increase security, especially on flights to the United States.  In an attempt to further combat the threat from attacks on aircraft airports and other travel terminus across the world are installing full body scanners, effectively subjecting all passengers to a virtual strip search without being as intrusive as the real thing – see our article about full body scanners.

Umar is currently being held in the Federal Correctional Institution Milan, in Milan, Michigan. He has been charged with bringing a destructive device onto, and attempting to destroy a US civil aircraft.

Much information is becoming available about this case on a daily basis; we will bring you more details as they become available.

Airport Body Scans To Be Installed At Schiphol Airport

Posted in Crime, news, Technology, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , on 12/31/2009 by securityscene

After the recent attempted terrorist attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 (operated by Delta Airlines) from Amsterdam to Detroit, the Dutch government has given the go ahead for full body scanners to be installed at the airport.

Within three weeks of the attack by Nigerian born Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, the full body scanners will be in place and used on all flights to the United States.

The new devices take a full scan of the body, picking up many items that traditional airport security measures would miss, effectively it allows for a full strip search to be carried out without anyone else being present.

Dutch officials have said that after reviewing the security measures undertaken at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam they found that all checks had been carried out on Abdulmutallab correctly, a passenger list which included his name had also been passed on to US authorities before the flight.

A passenger would enter the scanner, a scan would be taken, this picture would then be sent to a computer in another location for analysis and alert security at the scanner if something suspicious is found. This allows the process to remain quite anonymous as no identifying information would be sent .

It is predicted that the attack of Christmas Day will further increase security measures in airports through the world, Manchester International Airport has already tested this technology with great success and Nigeria has said that in-light of its citizens attempt to blow up the aircraft it plans to buy some of the units.

Senator Writes To President Over Fort Hood Attack Likely Terrorism

Posted in Crime, news, Politics, terrorism with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 11/18/2009 by securityscene

US Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas has written to President Obama to express his concerns over the Administrations reluctance to call the Fort Hood attack and act of terrorism.

Senator Cornyn says in his letter, it appears increasingly probable that the Fort Hood attacker, Major Hasan, had been motivated by his fanatical religious ideology and that it should serve as a wake up call for federal officials.

He is calling on the President and Administration to make sure that political correctness does not get in the way of preserving and protecting the US from potential attacks against National Security.

This is a copy of the full letter sent to the Whitehouse;

The Honorable Barack Obama
President of the United States
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Dear President Obama:

I sincerely appreciate you joining us at Fort Hood, Texas, last week for the memorial ceremony honoring the victims of the horrific November 5 attack. Thank you for your participation and your moving, heartfelt words. In the wake of this massacre, my prayers remain with the fallen, the injured, and their families, as I know yours do.

I look forward to questioning Attorney General Holder on Wednesday about the role that federal law enforcement agencies played in this particular case, as well as what actions they are taking to prevent radical Islam from finding a home in the U.S. Armed Forces. The federal government has a fundamental duty to our men and women in uniform to safeguard them against avoidable harm in the course of their service. We must protect the protectors whenever and wherever we are able, especially at home in the United States. Our government failed the brave Americans who were killed and wounded at Fort Hood. The devastation inflicted on them was preventable, and it is of paramount importance that we ascertain exactly where the system broke down.

The question of how this could ever happen on U.S. soil must be answered as soon as possible, so as to foreclose the possibility of future attacks of this nature. I understand that a myriad of investigations are underway, and I appreciate the importance of ascertaining the facts before making any judgments. Nonetheless, it seems increasingly likely that Islamist terrorism is to blame for this senseless attack. I was pleased that you alluded to this in your remarks at Fort Hood, stating that, “no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor.” I could not agree more.

Islamist terrorism represents one of the single most dangerous threats to the national security of the United States. As you know, this enemy seeks the complete and total destruction of our nation, our government, and our entire American way of life. As the 9/11 Commission stated in its report, “The enemy is not just ‘terrorism.’ It is the threat posed specifically by Islamist terrorism, by Bin Ladin and others who draw on a long tradition of extreme intolerance within a minority strain of Islam that does not distinguish politics from religion, and distorts both.”

Al Qaeda, in a 1998 fatwa signed by its leaders, Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri, instructed that: “to kill the Americans and their allies—civilian and military—is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it . . . .” Similarly, in a 2006 propaganda video, al Qaeda specifically urged viewers to “go on a shooting spree” at a key military installation. As more and more facts surrounding the Fort Hood attack surface, it looks increasingly probable that the alleged attacker, Major Nidal Hasan, heeded these terrorist calls to violence, compelled by a fanatical religious ideology. If Islamist terrorism was the driving force behind the senseless violence at Fort Hood, as it seems to be, this attack must serve as a call to action for the Federal Government.

The Fort Hood mass murder would not be the first time our service members have been violently assaulted from within their own ranks by an individual driven to act primarily by his religious ideology. As you may know, on March 23, 2003, during the initial phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom, an Army Sergeant named Hasan Akbar attacked his fellow service members in Kuwait with grenades and small arms, murdering two of them and wounding more than a dozen others. Akbar’s diary passages illustrated a strong religious motivation behind his actions: “I will have to decide to kill my Muslim brothers fighting for Saddam Hussein or my battle buddies. . . . I may not have killed any Muslims, but being in the Army is the same thing. I may have to make a choice very soon on who to kill.”

We must not blame Islam as a whole for this attack or others of its kind; yet at the same time, we cannot ignore the indisputable fact that some followers of Islam interpret their religion’s scriptures and teachings as a mandate for the mass murder of innocents. Evidence indicating that terrorist activity may be in the offing must always be run to ground; federal agencies must follow every lead and look into every possible threat, regardless of whose particular sensitivities might be offended in the process. We must never allow the safety of those who defend our freedom to be made a secondary priority to political correctness.

United States Senator
